THE DIAL HOUSE TEAM
Hannah & Andrew
Hannah and Andrew took ownership of The Dial House in May 2018. The pair both grew up in Norfolk, spent their twenties in London, then moved back home with their young children and dreams in tow. They couldn’t wait to get back to Norfolk to give their children the kind of childhood they both enjoyed. They found an old Farmhouse in Reepham to call home and made plans to create something together.
Andrew Jones, Executive Chef
Andrew, with his solid experience of working in high-end London restaurants for Michelin starred chefs such as such Richard Corrigan and Claude Bosi, Andrew was ready to make his own mark when they moved back to their home county. The pair launched their first venture, Farmyard Restaurant, in Norwich in January 2017. Here they quickly gained a reputation for great cooking, service and wine in a relaxed, contemporary space. When the chance to take on the Dial House presented itself, it felt the next natural step; to take on a venue with beautifully finished bedrooms and quirky private dining spaces to create special events and experiences utilising Andrew’s skilled cooking.
Hannah Jones, Operations Director
Coming from a TV Directing background Hannah not only has strong visual and creative ideas but the drive and ability to make those visions and plans a reality. A natural “people person” and organiser, Hannah has a talent to lead projects; Much as she did when Directing TV film shoots, by getting the best out of people and delivering a brief.
Dan Herbert, Head Chef
Dan has been our head chef since we took the place on and brought with him an impressive range of high end cooking skills, passion, enthusiasm, attention to detail and a shed load of tattoos. He has worked at a number of very well respected establishments across the county including Michelin starred establishments. Dan is in love with the produce he has access to in Norfolk from Eveshill Veg Co up the road in Booton to Norfolk Quail in Fakenham and gets excited about creating dishes depending on what walks through the kitchen door each week.
Octavian Popovici, Manager
Octavian has experience of managing teams within five star hotels and across the world including America and London. There is probably an image of Octavian’s face under ‘hospitality’ in the dictionary. He is passionate about taking care of all of our staff as well as our guests which we believe helps to create the perfect atmosphere for when people enter our building. He strives to ensure we go out of our way not only to ensure people enjoy their time spent here with us as standard but also to see how we might go that extra mile. He looks suspiciously like Clarke Kent too.
Sharon Murray, Office and Events Manager
Sharon is potentially the most organised person we’ve ever met. If you want to know something – ask Sharon. She is in charge of helping us create bespoke packages and memorable events for people here as well as managing the day to day bookings.
Sarah Tribe, Objects Manager and Stylist
Sarah is in charge of the retail wing Objects from sourcing to buying to styling. She’s brimming with ideas, incredibly hard working and has an extremely keen eye for detail. These attributes as well as her genuine love for the history of our old building makes her the perfect person to lead the way for our ever changing interiors. Everything’s for sale!
Tracy Gibbons, Head Housekeeper
Tracy adores the rooms at The Dial House and demands impeccably high standards at all times. Her care and dedication to her role means we can feel confident that each guest will be presented with visual decadence and a warm welcome no matter which of the eight eclectic bedrooms they decide to stay in.
